Princess Charlotte, who turns four on Thursday, can be seen smiling and playing with a flower in adorable images snapped my her mum.
Kensington Palace said in a statement: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday tomorrow.
‘The photographs were taken in April by the Duchess as Kensington Palace and their home in Norfolk.’
And as she prepares to celebrate her fourth birthday, Metro.co.uk has collected some of her most memorable moments so far.
Princess Charlotte was more interested in her little brother than posing for the cameras at Prince Louis’ Christening.She has proved to be a doting big sister during their first year together.
Flower girl duties
Princess Charlotte well and truly stole the show in an adorable wedding photo released by Princess Eugenie.She was every bit the beaming flower girl as she made Eugenie and her new husband Jack Brooksbank smile.
They may be Royals, but at the end of the day Prince George and Princess Charlotte are just children – as they demonstrated in the photo above.
The cheeky pair were spotted at the window of Buckingham Palace watching the RAF 100 flypast in July last year.
And little Charlotte couldn’t resist sticking her tongue out at crowds while stood alongside her brother – who also pulled a face or two.
Princess Charlotte ensured she was the centre of attention as dad Prince William played polo last summer.She jumped around and even did an impressive gymnastics performance for her mum, who couldn’t stop grinning with pride.
Meghan and Harry’s wedding
Princess Charlotte melted everyone’s heart at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding.
She had just performed her job as bridesmaid on the historic occasion, and happily waved at the huge crowd outside.
Becoming a big sister
Princess Charlotte looked like the proudest big sister in the world in the first photos of Prince Louis at home on her third birthday.
In a touching image, the she can be seen cuddling and kissing her little brother.
Meeting Prince Louis
Charlotte stole the show on the day her baby brother Prince Louis was born when she visited him in hospital.
The world gushed over her unbelievable cuteness as she waved for photographers while leading her dad Prince William up the steps of the Lindo Wing.Her confident reaction was in stark contrast to shy older brother Prince George, with the princess waving from the moment she got out of the car.She gripped onto her dad’s hand going into the hospital, before professionally turning her head and giving a final wave to cameras.
One Twitter user said: ‘Princess Charlotte completely stole the show she is the cutest little girl and her little wave really did melt my heart.’
The young princess started at Willcocks Nursery School, near to Kensington Palace, this year, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge releasing sweet photographs of Charlotte on her first day.
The photos – taken by mum Kate – saw Charlotte beaming in a red coat, pale pink scarf and matching pink backpack.
Charlotte was already a skilled bridesmaid at her uncle’s wedding as she took on the role when the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton married hedge fund manager James Matthews in the village of Englefield in Berkshire.
Dressed in a cream dress tied with a dusky pink sash, Charlotte scattered confetti petals from a wicker basket and wore a headdress of white flowers.
Kate took charge of the bridesmaids and pageboys, including Prince George, and at one point had to tell the excited children to keep quiet.
A royal tantrum
Of course it is Charlotte’s cheekiness that makes her so adorable.
Kate once said feisty Charlotte is ‘the one in charge’ at home with older brother George.
And when she and George joined their parents for an official tour of Poland and Germany in 2017, Charlotte was not about to do anything she didn’t like.
The princess was pictured collecting posies, peering out of the windows of their plane with brother George – but also having a little tantrum on the tarmac.
The youngster sat down on the floor in protest, but was promptly scooped up, comforted and distracted by her mother Kate.
Becoming an animal lover
A very excited 16-month-old Charlotte giggled away as she sat down on six-year-old therapy dog Moose at a children’s party in Canada.
The garden party at Government House, British Colombia, in September 2016 marked Charlotte’s first public appearance with her brother George, who was three.
Footage from the day showed her bouncing up and down on the dog’s back before excitedly playing with balloons.
